Winemaker Matt Says
Dry Creek Valley is one of the premier growing appellations for Zin and 2014 was an exceptional vintage to boot. Our Preston Zinfandel exhibits classic zin varietal fruit aromas of blackberry and blueberry as well as dusty earth and a trace of vanilla bean. The 4% addition of Mourvedre adds to complexity by contributing these earthy notes and another 6% addition of Petite Sirah lends longevity for aging. The 2014 has a full, smooth mouth feel without being weighty and a lively finish to keep it engaging. This is a superb wine for pairing with a slew of dishes from gnocchi with tomatoes to a grilled flatiron steak.
