Our Zinfandel grows along West Dry Creek Road on bench vineyards of red clay and gravel soils. In 2015 we had an earlier and lighter harvest than the three previous years. It was a hot, dry summer, but the quality of the fruit was exceptional. We crushed the fruit August 21st and fermented in stainless steel for ten days. After settling out we began aging in primarily neutral oak for a little over a year. The exceptional quality of the vintage carries through to the bottle with aromas of raspberries and plums in abundance. A refreshing acidity complements the lush red fruit core with a subtle bouquet of dried flowers and a hint of tar. This is a delectable full bodied Zinfandel, fleshed out with a small percentage of Mourvedre and Carignane.
