2015 VZN1 Zinfandel

Field Notes

Dry Creek Valley's warm summer days and early morning fog from the Pacific Ocean and the Russian River create an ideal climate for Zinfandel to flourish. Our vineyard designate VZN1 Zinfandel is right off of West Dry Creek Road. This block consistently yields grapes which produce one of our most expressive and varietally true expressions of Zinfandel. Aromas of white pepper and a slightly tarry component jump out of the glass. A rustic plum character and traces of dried flowers and herbs complement the sensations of red berries and red currant on the palate
